IT Support Consultant

​

We are looking for an experienced technician to support clients in the Central Alberta area, on-location and by remote. As the successful candidate, you will be experienced in assessing, troubleshooting, and escalating user issues efficiently and effectively. You will need excellent customer service skills and strong technical competencies. You will provide support, maintenance, and optimization of client infrastructures, systems, and applications, and thorough documentation of all client information and work performed. You will be a lifelong learner and Archon will support your professional development as you grow your career with our company.

 

Key IT Support Consultant Responsibilities:

​

  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize client systems, applications, and network environment

  • Efficiently respond to client needs and troubleshoot or escalate issues as required

  • Provide remote support for clients outside Central Alberta

  • Deploy / repair & replace services on desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices

  • Create and manage user network accounts

  • Manage user moves

  • Document all work completed and keep client information up to date

  • Occasional travel when required for non-local clients

  • Continuous learning and professional development

 

IT Support Consultant Qualifications:

​

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred OR

  • Equivalent/appropriate combination of experience and certifications

  • 2-3 years’ experience in an IT Support capacity

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Efficient at identifying and resolving/escalating user and system issues

  • Deployment and configuration of Windows 7 – 10

  • Deployment and configuration of Microsoft Office Applications including Office 365

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Strong foundational knowledge in networking and servers

  • CompTIA training – an asset

  • Server, network and infrastructure experience – an asset

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (km reimbursement provided)

  • Highly proficient in remote access and conferencing tools
